Our conformance target

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone.

Why this matters for our website

Managed Mental Health accepts Medicare and Medicaid. As a result, we are subject to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Section 504 rule, which requires healthcare providers' websites and mobile apps to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. [TO BE CONFIRMED BY COUNSEL: the compliance deadline under this rule is May 11, 2027 for organizations with 15 or more employees, or May 10, 2028 for organizations with fewer than 15 employees (45 CFR § 84.84) — confirm Managed Mental Health's employee headcount so the correct date can be stated here.] We are building to the Level AA standard regardless of which deadline applies.

Current measured status

This statement reflects an automated and manual accessibility audit of every page of this website, run on 2026-07-28 using axe-core (an industry-standard automated testing tool) together with real-browser keyboard and screen-reader-structure checks (heading order, skip links, focus visibility, and mobile-menu keyboard behavior). That audit found zero automated violations and zero structural or keyboard issues across all 36 pages tested (English and Spanish).

Automated testing tools like axe-core are estimated to catch roughly 30–40% of real-world accessibility barriers. A clean automated result is meaningful evidence of progress — it is not a certification of full conformance, and we do not represent it as one.
